Wie jedes Jahr bietet der November in der Deutschen Weinszene viele erwartete Auszeichnungen. Einerseits werden die Produzenten im Gault Millau mit Trauben gekürt, im Eichelmann mit Sternchen dekoriert. Vinum stellt dann das Ergebniss des Vinum Rotweinpreises zur Verfügung usw.

Johner Estate wins the Buyer’s Choice Winery Award !

We are absolutely excited to have won the Buyer’s Choice Winery Award Trophy at the Wine New Zealand show in Auckland held from 29th August to 2nd of September.
At the Wine New Zealand show in Auckland, our stand was well visited. Visitors were surprised about our wines. Often, you can’t find a 2008 NZ Sauvignon Blanc with great minerality and a long finish. The 2008 Riesling is too cheap and the 2007 Red Wines were showing great intense aromatics, depth and length.At the end of the last day we even won the Buyer’s Choice Winery Award Trophy for our Estate… “Visitors to the event have the opportunity to nominate a Winery and a Winemaker, they acknowledge as having had an impact on their overall experience at the show.” 120 Estates were showing their wines at the show.

Pinot Noir Bewertungen in Perswijn Maart/April 2008
Bei einer Pinot Noir / Blauer Spätburgunder Verkostung der Niederländischen Zeitschrift PERSWIJN erreichte unser 2004er Pinot Noir Steinbuck in der Kategorie “Duitsland” den 1. Platz mit 17 Punkte.Verkostet wurden Weine von Deutschland, Österreich, Frankreich, Italien, Ungarn, Neuseeland, Californien, Oregon, Australien, Südafrika, Südamerika.
Ein italinischer Pinot Noir erreichte 18,5 Punkte.
Ein Neuseeländischer Pinot Noir 17,5 Punkte.
Zusammen mit zwei weiteren NZ Pinot Noirs (17 Punkte) liegen wir auf Platz 3 des Gesamtwettbewerbs. Wow !!!
The PERSWIJN Wine magazine from the Netherlands has recently tasted and judged Pinot Noir Wines from all over the world outside of Burgundy.
In the category “Duitsland” (Germany) we won first place with our 2004 Pinot Noir “Steinbuck”.
And compared with all Pinot Noirs tasted, we share 3rd place with two New Zealand Pinot Noir à 17 points just behind a 2nd place NZ Pinot 17,5 points, and behind a 1st place Italian Pinot Noir with 18,5 points…
